My husband is the dishwasher in our home. Well, we have a dishwasher, but he loads and unloads it. He did not volunteer for this job, nope it was not by choice, he was given that task by me as a trade off for me doing the laundry every night.
He is OK with it and he does a great job so I thought I would get his expert opinion on the Cascade Platinum Pacs that we have recently tested out in our kitchen. He told me that the litmus test for him would be the wine glasses that tend to leave a lip print around the rim that is always present even after a wash or two in the dishwasher. I agreed that we would use this as a base on how well the dishes came clean. I am happy to report that our experiment proved conclusive. Here are the details...
I took a picture of the before and after and here it is. The pic on the right is kind of hard to see due to flash but the lip stain is always very thick and has never come all the way clean after 1 general wash in the dishwasher.
|The before was taken at night and with a flash but the lip print is still visible and on the right- the after shows an amazing difference! No lip smudge at all.|
Well, that sugary residue mixed with lip balm that always lingers around the rim, happy to report it has officially been banished after 1 cycle using Cascade Platinum Pacs. Truly serious, I really didn't think the glasses would get that clean because we always get them out and then wipe them with a rag ourselves or re-run them on another cycle. But not this time.
This evidence, not to mention everything else that came clean after 1 wash not 2 and with no pre-rinsing is making my husband's heart sing. Why wouldn't it? With past cycles using other products, I often saw dishes which were put into the cabinets that looked like they were run with out soap. Yuck! They would have bits of some hard substance on them causing us to have to wash them again or to try and remember to pre-wash them the next time. I even questioned our dishwasher and if it was up to snuff.
Who has time for that? I think that when you wash dishes, they need to get clean the first time. Period. Well, apparently Cascade agrees. They have created an outstanding product. And here is why. Cascade Platinum delivers Cascade’s ultimate clean for dishes in these ways:
• Scrubs away tough 24 hour stuck-on food
• Eliminates the need to pre-wash dishes
• Provides exceptional dishware shine
• Contains the Grease Fighting Power of Dawn
And Cascade Platinum achieves a clean so powerful, it helps keep the
dishwasher sparkling while delivering a variety of dish care benefits. It's because:
Cascade Platinum features a premium, advanced Triple-action formula specially designed to deliver Cascade’s best-in-market performance. It works in these ways:I also realized dishes in the past usually had a white-ish film left on them, that I think is due to the type of water we have. I have in the past used rinse agents to combat this problem but with this product it is not necessary. By the way, this product also keeps that nasty white-ish film out of your dishwasher making it look so clean inside. And FYI if you are wondering, the price point is really affordable for the great job it does.
