Andy Alligator's Water park - a nice escape

Just a few pics of our recent trip to Andy Alligator's water/fun park in Norman.

Financial compensation was not received for this post. A sample product was/will be gifted from America's Family Network on behalf of Andy Alligator's to facilitate the post and follow up review. All opinions expressed here are my own.

If you had a chance to read my pre- review to Andy Alligator's in Norman, then you will be ecstatic to know that we went, we had great fun and now we are recuperating!  We went on a day when the temperature shot up to almost 100 this past weekend and wouldn't you know that the very next day, it was 80 degrees out?  You know what they say about the weather in Oklahoma right?
If you don't like it, just wait a minute...It will change!
Either way, we had so much fun and it is great to know that this place even exists and is so close to our home.

As you can see from the pics, we tested the arcade area, drove the water bumper cars, hubby went down the slide and the kids played in the kiddy water area that had a cute red slide and water spouts bubbling up from the ground.   Best of all, we were all able to share 1 bathroom to change into our bathing suits as a family.  Generally, when going to other water parks, the toughest part is getting changed- dad has to take son, mom takes daughter, clothes get pulled out of bag, things fall on the floor.  Then you have to meet outside and re-consolidate to share a locker.  Well this time- not the case. We all changed, then right outside the door was our locker!  Loved it!  Thank you to the brains behind that one!

The locker was not the only exciting part.  I was excited to see the climbing rock/wall and the adult slides among other things.  Also it was refreshing that we could come back inside and play in the kidzone/arcade area to take a "cool down" break after being in the sun for a little while before heading to the water park area.  There was also a batting cage and bumper cars and a couple other things that we did not try due to the kid's height/weight etc. We had plenty to do while we were there so we don't feel like we missed out on anything.

All in all, we had a great time, now when the commercial comes on at home, the kids say "look, Andy water park, let's go."  I remind them that we just went there and then show them some of the pics and that seems to work for now, but I may need to plan my next trip sooner than later!

Where do you go in the summer when it gets hot outside?  Any favorite local spots?
