This morning was the first alert I have received in a long time for  tornadoes- The red button kind.  Not yellow or the weekly test!  Red!
So, for me I am asking for peace during storms and continued  rest as well!

Beauty and the Beast of Dry Erase Calendars

I decided to name this post "Beauty and the Beast" of dry erase calendars because I could not stand my last one and I love my new one!

With the new year here, I was ready to make a new calendar for the wall outside the kitchen.  I wanted it to be better than the one I had which was a store purchased dry erase.  I also wanted it to be a picture frame calendar so I could have an excuse to get some new chalkboard markers.  I also knew I wanted it to be blue and green to match the blue walls in parts of my home.  So with the stage set, I began! As a side note, how many pictures are too many for a tutorial?  I guess we will find out!

Make me laugh! {right now}

OK, it's Friday- Whoot, Whoot!  Can I get an AMEN!  

So glad there is a Friday in every week...

Well, that means Fave Joke Friday, where I get to tell silly jokes, have readers add some of their own silly jokes( got a real cute one last week in the comments section that made me chuckle) and laugh like a 4 year-old school girl while my husband wonders if he should really be encouraging  me or keeping his distance!  If you have some cute, funny ones, let me know and eventually there will be a list of some to pick and choose from to tell your little one(s) on the way home from school or something.  All right, here is what I got!

Week 3 of Tuesday's Prayer link up!

Today is Tuesday and that is exciting for me because I get to link up with other like-minded ladies to pray with and encourage each other.  Feel free to link up and have some encouragement while you are at it!

I can personally say that the past 2 weeks that I have been involved have been miraculous to say the least!  I have seen God do some great things and mostly just help me to have more peace and rest!  His rest!  The good kind!

Change is Imminent!

Blog Intent (for now)

What exactly do I mean when I say Change is Imminent?  Thanks for asking.  I will tell you.  I guess this is my blog intent so to speak.  So I will lay it out for you in case there is confusion on my part.  I have been blogging for under 2 months and I really enjoy it.  I hope to continue to make new friendships and get in more link ups and get exposed to more creative people/things as I go.  I do have to say that if my blog is a reflection of me as a person- there will be some change so I may as well get it out in the open now.  For instance, there is not a week that goes by where I don't move a piece of furniture around in my home (poor husband).  I like to see what things look like in different corners and in different rooms.  I also have been doing lots of research and trying to come up with a blog that will be inviting and not straining on the eyes etc.  I have been drawn to many blogs and have not been able to figure out why.  Is it Jesus in them? Is it that they have a nice smile and cute kids?  Or is it the layout? Hmmmm.  Got me to thinking!

OK, so I love silly, old but funny jokes and thought that I would try to share some of my old favorites!  Some are ones I grew up repeating, others I have learned along the way, but regardless, I am going to share them with y'all.  I know, I know, jokes- the gifts that keep on giving.  So here goes!
